Hi All! Saif and I have been in contact and the issue is being resolved.

This particular issue is the result of a one-off faulty part or manufacturing defect, which was potentially revealed by temperature and, of course, is covered under warranty.

This is not a systemic issue to do with heat itself - as most of you know the system gets regularly punished in extreme temperatures in either direction on the thermometer.

While we don't recommend leaving gear for extended periods in direct sun, the components will keep working in temperatures exceeding 50 degrees Celsius or minus 50, with the worst case being a safety shutdown until the unit can cool (or loss of full battery capacity in the colder temps).

Have a great weekend everybody.
