Small HD 702 touch settings
Hi All,
I have recently purchased the Small HD 702 touch and I am so far a big fan of the options it not only gives me but also the DOP I'm working with. My question is about maximising it's settings to give me the best focusing options in different scenarios and lighting set ups.
I generally work off marks and distances, but as we know that is not always possible on run and gun gigs with no rehearsals. Being able to rely on your monitor is now so important for what we need to deal with.
I am happy to work without peaking and focus assist on just the output image, but this definitely has its limitations. Currently, I have been successfully using the focus assist with the following settings: B & W background, Sensitivity 5, Peak Threshold 35. This works in most situations.
I had an exterior night shoot the other day that was mainly back lit. Now the focus assist was useless in this situation and we were run and gun with no rehearsals. This leads me onto main question; what settings do people find works best for the Peaking on the Small HD? I've seen focus pullers work with very high peaking intensity levels, however I feel this could be miss leading.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions
