Hello everybody.

In November last year I bought two SmallHD 503 UB monitors and in January of this year I had problems with one of them. I was shooting and in between shots I turned it off and when I turned it back on this vignetting appeared in the entire screen. Within the vignetting the image looked completely washed out and with almost no contrast... much more than seeing a LogC image. At that moment I tried to turn it off and on again, took the sd card out, default reset the monitor and nothing worked to solve this.

As the monitor was under warranty I took it to the technical service here in Spain (official SmallHD distributors). In a couple of days they returned the fixed monitor to me and told me that they had it tested and the hardware was in perfect condition. But they do updated the latest firmware.... since then everything was working good until a couple of days ago that this happened again.

I had continued shooting using the monitor with the vignetting and washed out image but as the minutes went by I started to realized that the vignetting was getting smaller and started to look better and better. In about 30 minutes later the problem disappeared, no washed out image no vignetting and everything looked good and sharp for the rest of the day. The next day the monitor worked perfectly but again: turned off/on and this happened again only this time the vignetting was smaller than the day before and depending on my angle of viewing the screen the vignetting was more or less noticeable. Again after a while the problem disappeared.

I´d like to know if anyone has experienced the same thing or knows what it could be? Do you think it's a software or hardware problem? Right now I am not in my city and I cannot take it to technical service.
