Sony Venice Rialto with T-Rex Superscope
Hi everyone,
I'm doing a shoot at the end of the week where we'll be using the Rialto module quite a lot.
This is going to be a fast-paced shoot, with few waiting time for the lighting team (most of it will be for camera), so I am considering leaving the Rialto connected as much as possible, even when it is not strictly needed.
For instance, I want to mount the Venice body and Rialto on the same dovetail when we're on sticks (still wondering if it's possible when we'll be on the Movi XL on the technocrane).
I've seen people do this, but I haven't seen this kind of rig with a T-Rex Superscope mounted to the Rialto while on the same plate as the camera body. Is it a stupid idea, or has anyone ever done it, or with a similarly long lens?
Thanks everyone,
Thomas Balet

The camera draws way more power in rialto mode. Be aware during movi incase you need to pull off the onboards or have to use a long extension to the block battery. My change from rialto to studio is about 5 minutes. I'd say it's worth it for movi for stability alone but if you can make it work, go for it.
