Hey James, It’s very hard to trouble shoot this without more information regarding the rest of the ECS setup, and the first suggestion is to always make sure that every part of your system is running the latest firmware version, including lens motors. My second suggestion, relating directly to the infinitely spinning wheel, would be to clear the LDA from what ever motor controller you’re using, as some times a corrupt file will cause the WCU-4 to freak out every time it connects. If it’s a camera you can clear the lens file and if it’s a cforce mini RF you can hold both buttons down for ~10s to do a factory reset. You could also simply test that this is the case by turning off what ever motor controller is around and turning on the WCU-4, so it won’t have anything to connect to. Otherwise, feel free to send an email to service@arri.de - but you’ll need to fully detail your setup and the firmware version of each device (including motors), plus a video showing the issue.
