ARRI OCU issues
Hi everyone,
I'm using an OCU for the DP to be able to control the focus and iris without having to disengage the motors.
It usually works really well but this time it hanging some issues.
It works perfectly fine and then sometimes but not everything when I switch lens or restart the camera the override function won't work and the OCU has no control over the motors.
Did anyone already have that issue ?
The setup is :
-Alexa mini LF (Sup7.2.0)
-Cforce RF (Sup2.0.3) for focus in client mode connected to the lbus port mini LF with cam to Lbus cable
-Cforce mini (Sup1.3.4) for iris connected to Cforce RF with lbus to lbus cable
-OCU (Sup2.0.2) connected to Cforce mini with lbus to lbus cable
-LCUBE CUB-1 (Sup2.0.2) connected to OCU with lbus to lbus cable
-Focusbug connected to LCUBE
-Hi-5 (Sup2.0.0)
-Lenses are Zero Optik Olympus OM so no LDS or /i and where encoded with the Hi-5
If someone has any clues as where the problem could be comming from I would love to know.
My guess is the Cforce RF connected to the camera with the cam to lbus cable.
I usually use the cam to ext cable instead and close the loop with a lbus to lbus cable from the LCUBE to the lbus port on the camera. I never had any problems with the OCU when I do my cables like this but sadly it isn't possible this time because of the way I rigged the camera.

Hey Steve, have you sent this report to ARRI Service? service@arri.de - they will be able to help. Log files from the Hi-5 immediately after you experience issues will also be very useful. You shouldn't have any issues with the way you've described routing your LBUS cables. No need to use EXT on the camera for camera control here necessarily.
