cVision or FocusBug: thoughts?
Hey everyone! Figured this was the best place to ask the question, but basically as the post says what is everyone's thoughts between these two rangefinders?
I have a cPro + and I love it. Got a good workflow going but of course we always want to look to the next expansion of the kit. I'm still digging through the demo videos from the Chaos show. In fact, watching the cVision stuff actually put it back in the mix for me because I was sold on the FocusBug but now I'm back to thinking it over.
What I like about the cVision is the depth map -- but it's a pro and a con with adding another monitor to my 1303 that I have to mount and move around. I like the integration with the c motion workflow that I have though. Seems like a good overall tool to find general marks of a set though and get a fighting chance for those run and gun set ups everyone loves to do wide open with no rehearsal.
I like the bug feature on the FocusBug and I like the little display that you can mount with your FIZ but I'm just wondering on what integration looks like with the cPro. I think I'd have to pick up the cube from arri and that's another thing to mount on top of what else we got. Granted, it's low profile but sometimes that side of the camera with an a-box and all the audio gak can get bulky.
So far I've only used a UDM when I day played on a show in town and a cFinder for a few days that I borrowed off another AC in town. I think the cFinder's narrow focus kind of loses it for me, seems like it might require too much calibration or a steeper learning curve to make it something I want to dive in with. The UDM was nice, but again I think I'll need some time with any system I get to really start learning the ins and outs and how it would work for me. Unfortunately, small market that I'm in, that usually just means buying a system outright and hoping it's good. Hence the question I'm asking here so all that long winded explanation down I'm just asking what are some thoughts from the community on what you guys have used or what works best in what situation for you?
Thanks!

Hi Christian, the link you provided doesn't work I'm afraid... https://www.focuspulleratwork.com/forum/range-finders/qinematiq-smart-ranger-2
