Preston and stabilizers
Looking for people's experiences with building their preston set onto a stabilizer like the movi, ronin 2, steadicam/trinity, etcetera. Wondering which stabilizers won't handle the weight of an MDR or/and light ranger. And in combination with what camera/lenses/motors. Also curious to see successful example setups!

You won’t be able to on some of the smaller gimbals, but I’ve never had any issue running Preston + LR on a Ronin 2. You just may need some counterweight on the bottom since LR can make a build top heavy. If anything, the MDR3 is easier than the MDR4 because it's profile is slimmer. So it's easier to side mount and still fit within the size of the ronin. People make the weight out to be a bigger deal than it is, as long as you can achieve proper balance you should be fine.

That Venice 2 build ran signature primes, Arri LMB, mdr3, LR2W, Preston motors, teradek and a Wi-Fi router for cam control. No issues with weight for the R2 motors in this case.
