Light Ranger VIU/VOU
Hi there, just ran into a bug where after calibrating iris on Zeiss supreme primes, the T stop value on the VIU is only correct for the 2 values entered on the HU3. The rest if the mapping is significantly off. I’ve checked firmware is up to date on all components. I know the scale is non linear but I just worked with Masterbuilt primes and the discrepancy wasn’t nearly as bad. I also replaced each component( mdr3/HU3/LR VIU). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.( My Zeiss 70-200 is no better).

I feel this is an issue that was address with the HU4. We’re with the new headset you can map the iris ring for nonlinear lenses. So you can enter each stop value on the lens which for me has fixed any problems I’ve had in the past. Sadly I feel stripping correctly a nonlinear lens with the HU3 will remain near to impossible.
