What’s in your LBUS kit?

Hello, I’m considering the purchase of a Hi-5 kit and am currently pricing everything out. I’m coming from Preston land, and would love a little advice as far as which motors I’d need and which cables. Could I get away with a cForce RF and 2x mini? Or is the Plus a must-have? What lengths of LBUS cable most frequently come into play for you, and how many would your kit ideally have?

Any advice would be appreciated!

I rarely use the cforce plus, but when you need it you need it. Personally I own an older Cforce classic motor, its the same as the plus motor but without the button. Older model, got it used for a good price and works well as my backup motor.

The RF motor is amazingly fast and I use that 95% of the time, never had an issue with modern lenses. However, if you are working with vintage glass that is super stiff you will need a cforce plus. You could always just subrent in that situation.

I feel that I have all my bases covered with the following cables.

2 x LBUS 1.5'

1 x LBUS 1'

1 x Lbus 7"

1 x Lbus 16"

1 x Lbus to P tap 2.5'

1 x Lbus to P tap 14"

1 x CAM Extension

2 x CAM to Arri EXT 6p (1 straight, 1 right angle. Right angle is a must for gimbals)

1 x CAM to RED

1 x CAM to Venice

2 x CAM to 3 Pin RS

1 x LCUBE to Cinetape (Custom 12" straight cable, not the coil default)

Generally go with longer cables than short ones, its easier to tidy up a cable than to not have enough reach. However I do use my 7" cable almost every time. Some of my Lbus cables are custom ones that I made personally, I know you make cables too so that's always an option as well.
