Hello everyone! I have decided to write a post to shed some light into generating contacts in the film industry in Munich and Baviera and in Germany in general. I'm planning of splitting my time between the Canary Islands (where I'm from and where I currently live) and Munich, Germany where my girlfriend lives and works.

I have been focus pulling for about 7 years now. I have been in the camera department for 13 years in total. I started out in London, UK working in big blockbuster features as a camera trainee where I learnt the ropes from some of the best in the industry there. I moved up the ranks within the camera department until a few years where I came back to the Canaries to establish myself as one of the few focus pullers here. I'm activating my contacts in Germany (I have worked in quite loads of German commercials, tv series and features) to find out if it will be a feasible option for me to have a base in Munich but as part of my plan, I wanted to write a post here so maybe you can also help or collaborate. I don't speak German but English. Are any of you based in Munich? How is the film industry working over there? Any leads of advice to break the ice? Any help will be much appreciated as life takes you to places I never thought I could ever wonder to be based: MUNICH!
