Which Department is responsible for gimbles.
There's abit of a battle between which department is responsible for camera gimbles , I work in camera dept and often am used as a gimble tech , grips here believe it's their responsibility then again a lot of people in camera dept believe so too. Curious what is the case abroad ? Talking out of South Africa

This has been a interesting debate everyone, I think at the end of the day it comes down to discussion between the DP and his HODs and who is best suited to handle the gimble. These small arguments usually occur on commercials, and now next time I offer to help our grip struggling with gimble issues and he tells me to stick to my department , I’ll just say hey man this is our department.
