Keen to move to the UK and give the industry a go there, as seems to be the right of passage for many New Zealand crew members who find the industry here a little constricting for their careers.

Does anyone have tips for getting set up, learning the lay of the land, guilds and organisations, cities/suburbs with most work, demand for crew etc.

There is a fair bit of info to be found online but any local knowledge or experiential knowledge you can share would be much appreciated, as this is harder to come across by googling.

(note: British citizen so work visa not required)
