Lens data to Sony Venice

Hi all!

Anyone tried, and succeeded, feeding lens data from the Cpro to the Siny Venice?

It seems to be a rather complicated set-up with 2 motors/Camins and 2 special (and quite expensive) cables so I'm just checking to see if anyone has done it recently, on an actual shoot, before I start ordering cables.

If so, was it stable or did it have a lot of bugs/glitches?

Is it possible to skip the camera control cable and only go with the lens data cable (the eng style one that connects in the front).

If that cable is sufficient I'm thinking that it might be worth it just going with that one and the rs cable (if needed).

How well does the lens data feed from the lens work on the Venice, if we were to go with LDS or /i lenses?

Just found some old discussions about it online, dating back to the F65. At that time it didn't seem to work at all.

Hello Erik, if you loose the remote cable (Hi8p), you will loose camera control (no second cPRO camin/motor needed). If you loose the ENG cable (Hi12p) you loose the meta data (no second cPRO camin/motor needed). LDS an /i lenses will not give you any benefit on the Venice, but you have to create a lens file on the cPRO or import a .tab file.
