CineRT bug not displaying correct distance.

I have been using my CineRT bug on my 2nds slate to collect marks quickly on the show I'm currently on. At first it was working well, but it now never displays the correct distance. Always direct line of sight to the horns, facing the correct way, no offset on the bug. At first it a couple of feet off, not it's 10/20 Ft off.
I would love to be be able to use this feature as it helps collecting reliable marks quickly when it works.

Hi Tom! Laird here to help. I have a couple questions to get started:
1. Do you have a second BUG? If so, please enure that the correct source (BUG ID) has been selected. If you have a 2nd BUG please compare the readings as that would isolate issues to the BUG itself.
2. How are your rangefinder readings? Are they looking accurate? If not go to the next question.
3. Please go into the Vitals Menu and check that the Temperature displayed is accurate. Here is a video to help you get there:

If the temperature is off please check the little blue Thermometer Diode on the lower right front of the Base to ensure that it is intact. If not, then all readings are likely compromised in both BUG and Rangefinder and the Base will need to be repaired.
If none of the above seem to offer any insight into the issue, please make a visual inspection of the ultrasonic transducer on the BUG in question to see if any particulate has accumulated on the membrance of the transducer under the grill. We have sometimes seen sand on the transducers which can cause range issues.
