Does anyone have any experience with the MCS-2? Or can share some insight into the MCS-1’s software and reliability? And the motors?

there’s a review on newsshooter. it’s super affordable and looks very interesting, but there’s basically no info about it online. I was able to find a couple used MCS-1 kits, but the MCS-2 is barely available anywhere I could find

A year or so ago I saw a chart (maybe made by Teradek or Cine RT) that outlined the radio channels on Preston, wcu-4, cmotion, teradek (video transmitters) etc etc

Does anyone know this chart, have this chart, what it was called? It was very handy!

Well, this may be old news to some, and a shock to others, but the Bartech hand unit is a dwindling asset. I have run a Bartech for years as a trusty backup and main focus unit on small budget shoots, etc. recently it started chewing through 9v batteries like no tomorrow, but I couldnt figure out why. I cleaned connectors, looked for shorting wires, all sorts of things that could potentially lead to eating 9v batteries like smarties, but no dice. long story short, I ended up getting in touch with Jim Bartell and picking his brain on the issue. he told me that the crazy power consumption was due to the radio board (TRM-900-NT) going bad, but unfortunately it had been discontinued several years ago by the manufacturer. Hi there, I have been fortunate to be working directly with Hedén, using their YMER-3 on the current show I am on right now. It's a 8 week show total, we are starting week 3, and I am already on my second beta unit, testing out new hardware, and new firmware. As an AC I can only think of a few features to talk to them about adding though, and would love to hear more about what things you deem essential for the Ymer. Currently in pipeline is iris, and zoom mapping, as well as their integration with CineRT and CineTape. However, there are of course more things to think of, so drop me a line here if you have ideas!
