Just curious, has the idea of using USB-C as an AIO cable for the video/power ever come up?
I had the crazy thought that hit me couple of weeks ago while looking at my (messy) cable management that included a SDI to HDMI converter on a Bolt 4k LT and Komodo and wanted to see if it's ever crossed anyone else's mind. Besides maybe the need for pushing camera manufacturers to include it on the bodies and backwards compatibility, what would be the biggest obstacles for future integration?
This is my biggest whish! Arri has it already with it's viewfinder cable (a lot better than USBC and still small and versatile). Since they included a second port on the Alexa35, I have high hopes for someone like Transvideo to build a Monitor with exactly that Interface. Let's just hope that Teradek and SmallHD are listening.
