WCU4+ Alexa LF issue
I’ve been encountering an unusual problem whilst using an Alexa LF with cforce motors and 2x wcu4 handsets.
When the wcu4 handset assigned to iris control connects to the camera, either after a battery change or loss of signal, the lens mapping on the focus assigned handset goes haywire and immediately pulls the lens all the way to close focus.
Rebooting the focus handset seems to be the only way to fix the issue.
This has happened during a couple of takes over the last week, and didn’t go down terribly well with the director.
I’ve got a hunch that the problem is brought about by using the Alexa’s LCS output to connect to cforce motors, but I don’t have access to any of the old style CLM motors to test the theory.
I’m keen to find a way of preventing the issue from blowing any more takes, and would love to hear if anybody here has encountered something like this before!

I have never heard of this issue, please make sure the CForce Motors are up to date as this could be the likely culprit. Are you powering the CForce Motors via a D-TAP to LBUS or R/S to LBUS? If not, this could likely be the cause as well. LCS does not provide enough power for multiple motors connected via the LCS to LBUS cable - that's why the cable says in the price list "must use additional powering cable for motors" You can use the CForce RF with the CAM to EXT (16-pin - K2.0015755) to connect the RF Motor to the ALEXA LF and still get LDS and Camera Control.
