I've been using the SmallHD 702 OLED for the past year and it has been great monitor to pull focus off of. It's only rated a 300nits but I can totally see this thing on sunny days using the sun shade. I maybe it's the tech? I don't know. It also uses less power so my batteries last longer.
I don't think there is much advantage to either in studio lighting conditions. However, when outdoors LCDs are generally brighter and visibility is everything.
