Hello,

Did you check the firmware of the two monitors?

Maybe they have different firmware and maybe the option ''zoom'' is not available with both firmwares.

I have the 058W and it's a pretty good feature.

I using it sometimes.

Kévin

Hello Kevin,

Thanks for the reply, so it's the sharpness feature present also on the 058w when you zoom at the 40%?

Hey Jacopo!

Yes its the aperture and yes both the 055 and 058 have it.

but, you have seen it on a 056. The 055 and 058 are both HD and Oled. Which makes the sharpness a bit different for the eye.

i prefer the 056 (which is LCD by the way)  because ive Always been working with it. I had the aperture on 2. In my opinion its the most realistic picture of sharpness, to me the others feel a bit fake.

hope this makes any sense, if not, feel free to ask more!

Hi Rozemarijn.

Thanks for the information. I also like the 056 better, good size and never gave me problems!

Started out as a focus puller 8 years ago, I shot movies and commercials in Italy, Spain, Turkey, Uk, Bulgaria, Morocco and USA. Love everything camera related, gear porn and sharp lenses. Sharpness is not debatable.

Agree with Rozemarijn, even though as far as I know 055 is OLED, but 058w is LCD (that’s why is a million times better)

i did notice the increasing of sharpness both in the 056 and 058 when going further than a certain amount of zoom, but I didn’t know it was related with the aperture setting, thanks for the info!

Well, not reading the manual :), I accidentally found out about it in my last shoot and I was so happy all day working with 056.
