Panavision Primo 70 internal motors voltage DXL2 panavision preston By Gunnar Mortensen on 2/5/19, 1:48 PM • 676 views I have spent the last three months using the DXL2 and Primo 70 lenses. Which have internal motors. They have worked pretty well but Panavision is still working out some kinks. What I have noticed is that it is very important to watch your voltage and to keep it above 13.4v or the motors start misbehaving. If you use the external motors of the modules you can run the voltage down further.

Freaked me out on a job using the Artiste lenses on a Red Hydrogen but the tech reassured me that was just how they felt because of the motors even when disengaged.
