I recently stumbled upon the Rencher Industry’s page talking about testing your cables to see if they are shielded.
I understood the part about the risk of connecting your BNC cable before connecting the power cable and how that could complete the current and potentially fry your device (ie. Teradek transmitter on the camera).
But I’m completely lost on how to actually test the power cables themselves. I have no background in electrical.
I tried testing a 2-pin Limo for continuity with a multimeter and it gave a solid beep. Does that mean that the cable is safe to use?
Please let me know what you think. And thank you!
