As the film industry opens a new world of protocol on set, this seminar will give an insight into how social distancing can be adhered to when using the Sony VENICE camera. Sony, Cmotion, Fujinon, Teradek, and CVP will be sitting down and exploring the latest tried and tested production technology that can help talent, operators, and all production workers, create the space they need, to adhere to protocol, and keep each other safe while on set. The majority of this technology was available before the COVID-19 pandemic but with careful planning and preparation takes on a new purpose and relevance. The panel will be discussing a range of technology that is readily available that can enhance production flexibility with adaptable configurations and speed of set-ups once on set.
About Presenters:
Richard Lewis, Chief Engineer, Connected Content Acquisition, Sony Professional Solutions Europe Richard has worked for Sony for over 30 years. In that time he has been involved in the development of an array of Sony products and technologies, including the introduction of the Sony 4K Digital Cinema Projector, HDCAM SR, F23, and F35 Digital Cinema Cameras. Following this, Richard launched the F65 8K Digital Cinema Camera and provided Cinematography experience for the launch of the F55. In 2013, Richard began working in the Sony Digital Motion Picture Centre Europe, based at Pinewood Studios, where he worked on the early development of the VENICE, integrating it within camera crews and the entire post-production chain.
Stephen Chappell – Sales Director Steve developed an interest in cameras and accessories from an early age after spending hours with his father at OpTex (Optical and Textile) back in the 80’s. His first memory of “helping” at a trade show was at IBC. But, when it was in Brighton.
Following careers in leisure and telesales, Steve was drawn back to the industry and joined the cmotion team in 2007. Although based in the UK, Steve attends all of the major international trade shows where he can be found on either the cmotion booth or supporting cmotion’s international network of resellers with hands on demos and workshops.
Marc Cattrall Marc is head of sales and marketing for Fujinon Cine products in the UK, and part of the global product development team.
David Bredbury, Product Manager (Cine) at Creative Solutions David has been with SmallHD for nearly 10 years working across a variety of roles in Sales, Product Management, and Marketing.=
Sam Measure Sam is a Technical Consultant for CVP. Prior to working at CVP, Sam spent seven years at RED in a variety of customer facing and technical roles. Though mainly as a sales engineer, his tenure at RED saw him assisting multiple Cinematographers and Photographers on commercial productions in roles such as a DIT or 1st AC, onset / in field demonstrations, technical sales advice, and providing training at locations across EMEA.
