has there ever been a cleanbuild for an atton penelope? i have a job with penelope and i'm thinking how i will feed all the accessories. The camera i'll use don't have v-lock power. I'll use the original atton batteries. Any idea/comment that can help me?
Thanks communite
Ok disclaimer I've not used the penelope. The easiest thi g to do would run also power from the block/belt with a combo 4pin/crap cable. There are 3 lemo power outputs on the camera 2-6pin lemo and one 8-pin lemo so you'd need Aaron specific r/s power cables hopefully the rental house has. I'm attaching a photo (not mine) of a build using the built in lemons to power aks.
I didn't get it how you are powering the umc4. This camera doesn't have lemo 2 pin or RS, right?
In the photo they are using the Aaron 6 pin lemo to power the monitor and umc you'd need to get aaton 6pin lemo cables for your aka (hence the pinout diagram if the rental house needs to make them )
#10 on this diagram are the 6 pin lemos
I also have a pin out diagram for making cables and phot of the power cable I mentioned above for doing aks off the block/ext power if I can figure out adding the photos
There is a manual in the file share (direct link HERE). Couldn't find how many Amps the power connectors supply though. So the safest way is an additional battery supply with ptap, I guess.
Thanks for your help. The plug lemo 2-pin is not the lemo 2 pin 12v. that usually we find, for example, in teradek, right?
I'm not sure there's a 2 pin lemo on this body that isn't part of the video tap
I'm thinking in something like this XLR cable. Our communite here in Lisbon are helping me in this subject. A friend of mine suggested me a v-lock plate with a XLR output. So...i can power the camera with the XLR and all the accessories thru p tap. I think that a 190wh batterie i have enough power to power up the camera, a teradek, a upconverter, tv logic on board, umc + motor and a cinetape.
Yeah I concur using a modern 12v power option (v lock it block) with ptap would be the easiest solution. they make battery plates with belt clips if you dont want to mount it to the body for weight/bc film camera weren't really made for mounting aks to.
