Hi All, I know there’s an official mounting bracket for the cPro but has anyone found any third party manufacturers making their own versions? I’ve checked the usual suspects (Cleans Camera, Rowa, Kupo, LenzCameraTools...) that I can think of and nothing.
links gratefully welcomed.
Hey Matt. As far I I know there isn’t a 3rd party option for the monitor mount for the cPro out there. But there is some people who have designed 3D printing parts for it, so you can securely mount a cinelock for example. Check out this one: https://www.focuspulleratwork.com/forum/3d-printing/archive-3d-printed-camera-accessories/p-1/dl-600e2467a2f2aa002e78cc6c
Ah, thanks for this. I like this idea:
However I still feel mounting a 703 to that thin arm is a bit dangerous. I have plans afoot and will share what I come up with.
I use my 703 on it all the time. Very sturdy arm!
I see how you feel that, but the arm is very strong. I have a 703 Bolt mounted to it with a 98WH battery and it holds the weight like it should:)
I borrowed my friends cPro and fitted an accessory cube as well as a Clean Camera Support SXU bracket. Fits pretty well, apart from why is the thread on top a 1/4" thread with Arri Loc and not 3/4"?? I must have spent 2-3 mins trying to screw that in until I realised.
The reason I wanted to try this is is it's basically how I use a WCU-4; when I'm not handheld with monitor attached the cinelock attachs to a clamp attaching it to my stand.
This wasn't a very elegant solution but it put my cine lock where I wanted it, on the back of the CPro hand unit rather than the top of it. It's just a small chunk of aluminum angle which I cut, drilled and tapped.
This allowed me to get the hand unit right up against the bottom edge of my 1303 monitor with no gap between the monitor and the hand unit.
Thanks for sharing this setup Aaron (and apologies for the slow reply).
Often Occam's Razor really is the one :) I'll bare this in mind, but I'd be tempted to chamfer off those edges/corners though 🔪
