cPro Run/Stop won't work with Arri Amira arri cpro cPRO-motor By Paul Schoen on 3/15/20, 8:25 PM • 268 views Hey folks, need to ask a question. I'm probably just to dumb to figure it out, but I can't get the rec run/stop to work with a cPro Hand Unit and a cPro motor connected with CAM-RS cable to an Arri Amira. REC LED light is green, so I guess I just deactivated something in the menu. Tried all sorts of things but couldn't work it out. Wasn't bad for the shoot, because it wasn't fast paced and a lot of shoulder work, but still wanted to find out for the future. Anyone had the problem (if there exists one) or could point me in the right direction? Cheers!
Rozemarijn On 3/15/20, 9:12 PM Hey Paul. Hmm as far as i can see you have connected it the right way. Cam to rs should do the trick....maybe a broken cable? Menu wise i dont think you can even disable the rs.... Next time i would suggest the cam to ext cable so you can also have cam controle! (And rec/stop)
Paul Schoen On 3/15/20, 9:15 PM Didnt have the ext cable and arri license. :( But thought of a broken cable as well. Clemens Hönig On 3/15/20, 9:03 PM Hey Paul, Do you have the latest software installed? Paul Schoen On 3/15/20, 9:08 PM The 3.0.2 version is installed, going to update tomorrow to 3.0.3, but I guess this feature was available before too? Clemens Hönig On 3/15/20, 9:16 PM Let us know, if the new software does the job.
Paul Schoen On 3/17/20, 5:26 PM So, I tried to update the firmware. Downloaded the 3.0.3 file and the filename says exactly that, but when loading onto the unit it says it's 3.0.2. Anyway the DP just told me after a while that the camera had problems with the RS socket in the past. (filmschool equipment just sucks) If I had known that earlier... So looking forward to work with the unit again. Just loved everything about it! Nathan Lederman On 4/9/20, 9:04 PM I had the same issue regarding the software update. Any news on this? stay safe, Nathan
