cineRT autofocus with Cpro cineRT cmotion cPRO By Bill Robinson on 6/30/20, 11:32 PM • 155 views I was just watching the very impressive autofocus demonstration on CineRTs website. As described on the demo they used the Heden focus system because their serial port info transfers to the motors at the fastest speed of all the hand units enabling the autofocus to perform well. I have heard that the l-cube converter slows down this process with arri and cpro. Is there any possibility of bypassing the lcube in the future to go directly to the motors from the serial port to speed up the data transfer? Again their demo was impressive, maybe even a game changer, and I am hoping Cpro will be compatible to this new cineRT feature.
Clemens Hönig On 7/1/20, 4:59 PM Hey Bill, The ARRI and cmotion development team are currently working on an update for the LCUBE-1, which will make it a lot faster. They are also in contact with CineRT to improve the implementation. So stay tuned for more infos soon! Cheers Clemens
