Hi I'm on a two camera production with an Alexa Mini and an Arri Amira. Just been aware of a bigger white balance difference in the two cameras intern ND filters. With intern ND 2.1 in both cameras there is almost a 0700k difference, using exact same light and lens on the test. Has anyone experienced this aswell? And who to contact at Arri? Thanks Gustav, Copenhagen, Denmark
Is the situation the same with other internal filters? I had no problem using intern ND 0.6 filters. This is my only experience with pairing Alexa mini and Arri Amira.
Hey Gustav,
please contact the mothership. ;-)
Andreas Steffan works in the internal testing at ARRI in Munich, he speaks english and is waiting for your mail with the logfiles, framegrabs and whatsoever, his mail is:
Hope they can help you.
Best,
Ramón
Hey Gustav,
curious what it turned out to be, any news?
Hi Ramon Seems like the mini needs a sensor calibration and not about the internal ND.
From the camera rental side, we have experienced this for years. The white balance between cameras do not match and we have had to create CC offsets for each camera before rental. I will double check to see if we are seeing a shift from filter to filter this next week.
