One take shots alexa arri filesize sxt By Fabio on 3/17/19, 12:08 PM • 1,052 views “A long-playing full shot is what always separates the men from the boys. Anybody can make movies with a pair of scissors and a two-inch lens”. This was sir Orson Welles, who knew very well his craft. Some day ago, a DoP friend of mine asked me if I knew if it was possible to shot with an Alexa SXT a single clip of an hour and an half. I’m not sure it is, mainly because I’m not aware of the limitations in file size and/or duration of the clips. At list in such extreme conditions. So far the maximum for me was a short movie that was a unique shot of 20 minutes. Do you know if there is a maximum duration/file size for Alexa clips? What’s the longest shot you have worked in?
